DJ SoulSista: A Global Musical Journey
SoulSista began her journey performing in the townships of Pretoria and Johannesburg, bringing house music to audiences who had rarely experienced it live, an early testament to her passion for connection through sound.
A pioneer of the vinyl era, her signature sound fuses energetic house grooves with deep African rhythms, percussive beats, driving basslines, soaring vocals, and ancestral chants that bridge heritage and global club culture.
Today, she continues to make her mark as a regular at Nomade and Be Tulum, two of Mexico’s most renowned music destinations, while carrying her signature house sound to global stages.
Her discography includes EP Mooi (2023) on Berlin-based Cacao Records, where she performs both as vocalist and co-producer. A project that reflects her evolution as both a storyteller and sound architect. She has also released a remix of “Hero” by Naima Mclean, and the You Save Me EP with Cara Frew (2014). A much-anticipated solo project is currently in the works, set to showcase her most personal and experimental sound yet.
Performed across Miami, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Tulum, India, Mozambique, Botswana, Kenya, Swaziland, Mauritius, and Mexico.
Throughout her career, SoulSista has collaborated with world-class brands such as Waldorf Astoria, Cartier, Bentley, Maserati, Apple, BMW, and The Conrad Hotel, a testament to her enduring influence and cross-cultural appeal. Her work extends beyond the decks, with weekly radio mixes aired globally on Ibiza global Radio, Mertro fm,5 fm, MTV Base Africa, Channel O, and Ministry of Sound, reflecting her versatility and instinct for what moves a crowd.
